Toledo Sits Atop Leaderboard After 36 Holes at Red Rocks Invitational

SEDONA, AZ – Toledo holds a seven-stroke lead over host Northern Arizona following the first day of competition on Saturday at the Red Rocks Invitational. The Rockets posted identical rounds of five-over par 293 to post a team score of 10-over par 586.
The Lumberjacks' Sofia Anokhina and Boise State's Genevieve Ling posted the best individuals scores for the day with impressive rounds of seven-under par 137 and six-under par 138, respectively. UT sophomore Pinyada Kuvanun stands in third place at one-under par 143 (73-70).
Toledo has two more individuals in the tournament's Top 10 with sophomore Pimchanok Kawil (73-73) and freshman Saranlak Tumfong (72-74) tied for sixth place at two-over par 146. Sophomore Natcha Daengpiem is tied for 20th place at seven-over par 151 (75-76), while freshman Thunpijja Sukkasem is tied for 42nd place at 13-over par 157 (76-81).
Junior Napaphan Phongpaiboon is leading three Rockets competing as individuals and is tied for 18th place at six-over par 150 (74-76). Sophomore Hannah Kochendoerfer is tied for 62nd place at 20-over par 164 (81-83) and freshman Donchanok Toburing is in 74th place at 30-over par 174 (88-86).
The third and final round of the tournament will be held on Sunday.
