Toledo in Seventh Following Day One of Mission Inn Spring Spectacular

 
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL – Freshman Thomas Thurloway is tied for ninth place with a three-over par 147 at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular to lead Toledo during the tournament's first two rounds on Saturday. The Rockets sit in seventh place out of 17 schools at 34-over par 610 (304-306).

TCU is leading the tournament at eight-over 584 and has three individuals appearing in the top five on the leaderboard. George Washington's Christian Cichan registered the top 36-hole score for the day at three-under par 141 (71-70).
 
Thurloway carded UT's top score on the day with a one-under par 71 this morning before posting a four-over par 76 in his final 18 holes. Junior Colin Joseph notched the Rockets' best round in the afternoon with a three-over par 75 and is tied for 43rd place at 10-over par 154 (79-75).
 
Freshman Joe Bryce is one stroke behind Joseph and tied for 47th place at 11-over par 155 (77-78). Rounding out the Rocket lineup are sophomore Spencer Shoemaker tied for 62nd place at 14-over par 158 (77-81) and junior Stephen Watts tied for 78th place at 18-over par 162 (85-77).
 
Freshman Grant Godfrey is competing as an individual and is in 82nd place at 19-over par 163 (88-75).
 
The final round will begin with a shotgun start Sunday at 9:15 p.m. CT
