TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo softball team looks to make a statement during its 2017 campaign, which officially opens this weekend. The Rockets will travel to Cedar Falls, IA on Friday-Sunday, Feb. 9-12 for the Ramada UNI-Dome Classic where they will face off against Nebraska-Omaha, Wisconsin, Montana, South Dakota State and host Northern Iowa. Drake is also in the field but will not match up against UT.
 
All contests will be played inside in the UNI Dome.

Following opening weekend, UT will next travel down to a tough Strike Out Cancer Tournament hosted by 2016 Conference USA champion Florida Atlantic on Feb. 17-19 in Boca Raton, FL. The Rockets will battle against 2016 AAC champion and NCAA Tournament team Tulsa, as well as St. John's, Savannah State and Syracuse.
