TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo heads to Richmond, Va. for four games in the University of Richmond Tournament from Feb. 23-25. The Rockets will play a double header on Friday, Feb. 23 against Binghamton at 10:00 a.m. and host Richmond at 2:00 p.m. Single games vs. the Bearcats on Saturday and the Spiders on Sunday conclude the weekend.
The Rockets (0-4) were swept in the season-opening series last weekend at Tennessee Tech despite excellent starting pitching. Senior

UT was plagued by six errors in the field which led to seven unearned runs for the Golden Eagles.Â
Binghamton (0-3), a 2016 NCAA Tournament team, scored four runs in each of its three game but was swept by New Mexico in the opening series of the season. Justin Yurchak led the Bearcats with a .615 (8-of-13) average including a pair of doubles. BU's starter each allowed four earned runs, none of which made it past 4.0 innings.
Richmond (2-2) fell to defending national champion No. 11 Coastal Carolina, 8-5, before defeating North Carolina A&T and losing to St. John's in the Caravelle Resort Battle for the Beach Tournament. Jonathan De Marte and DJ Lee each went 6-for-14 in the opening weekend.
The Rockets are scheduled for eight games in ten days during their Florida spring break trip.
