Toledo Begins Three-Game Homestand vs. WMU on Tuesday Evening

QUICK HITTERS
• Toledo (14-13, 7-7 MAC) looks to avenge a 90-74 road setback to MAC West Division foe Western Michigan (11-15, 7-7 MAC) earlier this season when it hosts the Broncos on Tuesday, Feb. 21.. Tip-off time in Savage Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. with the game being streamed on ESPN3.
• UT will play its next three games at home before closing out its conference campaign at Eastern Michigan on Friday, March 3.
• The Rockets, who are tied for second place in the MAC's West Division with WMU, notched an 88-80 (OT) victory at Northern Illinois on Saturday to remain a game behind MAC West leader Ball State (17-10, 8-6 MAC). Senior guard Jonathan Williams and sophomore forward Nate Navigato paced UT offensively with 21 points apiece.
• Williams ranks third in the MAC with a team-high 20.0 ppg. He leads UT with an 80.3 FT%, 118 FTs made and 147 FTs attempted and is averaging a team-best 3.8 apg in league play.
• Senior forward Steve Taylor, Jr. , who is the only player in the MAC to rank in the league's Top 10 in points, rebounds and assists per game, ranks second in team scoring with 15.7 ppg to go along with a MAC-best 12.0 rpg and a team-high 3.7 apg. He sits third nationally in rebounding (through Feb. 18) and second with 9.7 defensive rpg (just behind Purdue's Caleb Swanigan's total of 10.3). In addition, Taylor's 19 double-doubles are tied for third in the nation.
• Sophomore guard Jaelan Sanford is also a double-digit scorer for the Rockets with 14.0 ppg and is playing a team-high 35.7 mpg. In league play, he is averaging 14.9 ppg and 3.6 apg with a 53.3 FG%, 51.6 3PTFG% and 2.1 assist/turnover ratio.
• As a team, Toledo ranks second in the MAC with 81.0 ppg and is first with a 49.0 FG% (14th nationally) and tied for first with 16.2 apg. UT leads the MAC in league play with a 50.3 FG% and 17.3 apg.
• Sanford is one of four Rockets shooting 40.0 percent or better from three-point range with a 43.0 mark. He is joined by redshirt freshman center Luke Knakpe (50.0), sophomore forward Nate Navigato (42.3) and senior guard Jordan Lauf (40.4).
• The Rockets have set a school record (breaking the previous mark of five in the 1971-72 campaign) with a nation-high seven overtime games (3-4 record) this season.
• Toledo's seven OT games are one more than Indiana State and Eastern Washington.
• The Broncos are riding a four-game win streak and have won six of their last seven contests. WMU is 1-10 on the road with their lone victory coming at Miami on Feb. 7.
• Junior guard Thomas Wilder ranks fourth in the MAC with a team-high 18.9 points per game and also ranks seventh with a 42.6 three-point field-goal mark.
