Toledo Set to Battle Detroit Mercy and Michigan State

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's tennis team will travel to Detroit, MI on Friday, Feb. 3 for a 7:00 p.m. match against the Detroit Mercy Titans. UT will then turn around for a match up against Big Ten member Michigan State the following day, Feb. 4 at 10:00 a.m. The Rockets enter the weekend with an overall record of 3-2.

"The team has been grinding this week in practice and we are excited to compete this weekend against two tough opponents," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "It will be a challenge as we play Friday night then turn around and play again Saturday morning."

UT is coming off a well-fought 6-1 victory over Cleveland State last Saturday. Megan Miller, Claire Aleck and Colleen O'Brien all found themselves down after the opening set, but fought their way back to win in three over the weekend. Sidnay Huck and Dee Dee Leenabanchong were named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week (Feb. 1).
