KENT, Ohio - Toledo pole vaulter
Alexa Jarrett cleared a season-high 4.00 meters to finish second in the Kent State Tune-Up on Saturday afternoon.
Jarrett and Kent State's Samantha Tollerud both cleared heights of 4.00m with Tollerud winning the event on a tiebreaker. Jarrett's top mark of the season gives her the sixth seed in next week's Mid-American Conference Championships.
Maddie Jarrett placed eighth with a height of 3.55 meters while
Alissa Jenkins finished ninth with a mark of 3.40 meters.
Katie Dewey led the duo of Rocket throwers with a fourth place finish in the shot put. Dewey recorded a mark of 14.07 meters, her second best throw of the season.
Sally Frank threw the shot 12.62 meters to place ninth.
The Rockets compete in the MAC Championships in Ypsilanti, Mich. on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at Eastern Michigan University.
