Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's soccer team will find out who it will be playing in first-round action of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship during the NCAA Selection Show on Monday at 4:30 p.m. The show will be streamed live on the NCAA's website (NCAA.com).
As Mid-American Conference champions, the Rockets automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship. A total of 64 teams will play at 32 campus sites in first-round action this Friday, Saturday or Sunday (Nov. 10-12). The Rockets will be watching the selection show in the Joe Grogan Room in Savage Arena. Fans are welcome to join the watch party.
Toledo (12-7-3) advanced to the NCAA Championship thanks to a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Bowling Green in the title game of the Mid-American Conference Tournament in Kent, Ohio on Sunday. Senior forward
Sophie Pohl scored both of Toledo's goals, including the game-winner with just five seconds remaining in overtime. It is the Rockets' fifth trip to the NCAA Championships and first since 2011.
