CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced its 2017Â Women's Soccer All-Academic Team on Thursday and a conference-best tying 13 Rockets were named to the team.

Madison Perrin were the honored student-athletes named to the team for the Midnight Blue and Gold.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Echeverri, a senior, has a 3.555 grade point average as a marketing major. She finished third of the team with 14 points (6 goals, 2 assists) and was one of six players to start in all 23 games this past season. The team tri-captain was named first team All-MAC for the second-straight year, making her the first to receive four all-conference accolades at Toledo. This is Echeverri's third time making the all-academic team.
Pohl is a senior criminal justice major who holds a 3.794 GPA. She played in each of Toledo's 23 matches and started in all but one. Pohl was second on the team with six goals and 16 points, which included the match-winner in the Mid-American Conference Championship contest. She was named the MAC Tournament Most Valuable Player for her performance in the postseason. This is Pohl's second time being named to the all-academic team.
A junior tri-captain, Price posted a perfect 4.000 GPA as a marketing major. She played in 20 matches, 19 in the starting lineup, while scoring a goal and accumulating three assists. She was named to the all-tournament team and it is her second season being named Academic All-MAC.
Williams is a senior finance major with a 3.979 GPA. She also started in all 23 matches and tallied an assist offensively. This is Williams' third time being named all-academic in the conference.
Burdick makes her first all-academic team as a senior finance major with a 3.265 GPA. During the season, she played 22 matches and made 18 starts. Burdick was part of a defense that allowed just 1.37 goals per match.
Scafaria marks her second all-academic selection after leading the Rockets with eight goals and 18 points. Scafaria, a junior with a perfect 4.000 GPA as a graduate student in the MBA program, played in 22 matches with 14 starts and was named second-team All-MAC at the conclusion of the year.
Also making her third all-academic team is Vinton, a senior political science major with a 3.714 GPA. Vinton played in 14 matches with one appearance in the starting lineup and took three shots on the year.
Paradiso is a 3.937 communications major. The senior played every minute, 2,174 minutes in all, and recorded a goal and a pair of helpers to finish the year with four points. Paradiso is making her third appearance on the all-academic team.
Kraft makes her first all-academic team in her sophomore year by posting a 3.869 GPA as a public health major. The forward played in all 23 matches, made nine starts and tallied a goal and a pair of assists on the campaign.Â
Sidwell, a junior, receives her second selection to the Academic All-MAC Team. As a 3.810 exercise science student, she started in 22-of-23 matches and recorded four goals and four assists for a total of 12 points.Â
Demboski and Bufe, both sophomores, garnered their first academic award in the first year they were eligible to be named to the team. Demboski started in all 23 games, while Bufe started in nine and came off the bench defensively in the remaining 14 contests. Demboski holds a spotless 4.000 GPA in pre-nursing and Bufe checks in with a 3.527 grade point average.
Perrin rounds out the all-academic honorees for the Rockets with her first selection. The redshirt freshman played every minute in goal for the Rockets and posted a 12-8-3 mark in her first year on the field. She was named to the MAC All-Freshman team and has a 3.865 GPA in the classroom.
Ball State and Western Michigan also landed 13 student-athletes on the all-academic team. A total of 120 student-athletes were named to the team.
