TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo returns to the Hoosier State for a second straight week when it travels to Carmel, Ind. on Monday. The Rockets, who are coming off a fifth-place finish at Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Classic, are scheduled to compete in the Crooked Stick Invitational on Oct. 16-17. The tournament will consist of 54 holes with 36 holes beginning on Monday with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start and the final 18 holes on Monday commencing with tee times at 8:30 a.m.

THE FIELD
• Twelve schools are participating in the Crooked Stick Invitational. The tournament will be played at the Pete Dye-designed par-72, 7,290-yard Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
• Joining Toledo in the event will be Ball State, Georgia, IUPUI, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Florida, Purdue, South Carolina, Xavier and the host Hoosiers.

ROCKETS AT THE CROOKED STICK INVITATIONAL
• Toledo has made two appearances at the Crooked Stick Intercollegiate, finishing in 10th place in 2013 and sixth in 2015.
Stephen Watts paced the Rockets in 2015 when he was a sophomore by tying for eighth place at four-over par 220 (77-72-71).

LOOKING BACK AT THE FIGHTING IRISH CLASSIC
• Toledo registered a season-best fifth-place showing with a season-low score of seven-over par 907 at the Fighting Irish Classic (Sept. 18-19). The Rockets were consistent throughout the tourney by posting a team score of 281 in the first round, 284 in the second round and 282 in the third round.

Colin Joseph paced UT by tying for 10th place at even-par 210. Joseph's Top 10 showing was the fourth of his Rocket career and his pair of one-under par 69s in the first and second round were season lows.

Duncan McNeill registered his best finish as a Rocket. A transfer from McNeese State, McNeill tied for 17th place at two-over par 212. He registered season-best marks for 18-hole (69) and 54-hole (212) totals.

Stephen Watts carded a season-best two-under par 68 in the final round to finish tied for 25th place. Watts has now posted rounds of par or lower on 22 occasions during his collegiate career.

Dylan Van Fossen notched his best finish as a collegian with a 37th-place tie. He finished the tournament strong with a season-low one-under par 69 in the third round.
•
Spencer Shoemaker competed as an individual and tied for 64th place at 16-over par 226.

ON THE HORIZON
• Toledo will wrap up its fall season with a trip to the West Coast for the Saint Mary's Invitational on Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 6-8 in Pebble Beach, Calif.
