TOLEDO, Ohio - Sophomore defensive back
Kahlil Robinson was voted the Iron Workers Union No. 55 "Ironman of the Game" for his performance in the Rockets' 20-15 win over Eastern Michigan on Oct. 7.Â
Robinson recorded a pair of key fourth-quarter interceptions to go along with three tackles on the day. Robinson now has picked off three passes on the season and has accumulated 11 tackles in total.
Robinson's first interception of Eastern Michigan quarterback Brogan Roback came with just under 6:00 left if the game. His 20-yard return put the Rockets in great field position that eventually led to a 20-yard field goal.
Robinson sealed the win with his second interception on EMU's final drive at the 2:03 mark in regulation. The Rockets were able to run out the clock to improve to 4-1, 1-0 in the Mid-American Conference.
