Nathan Boothe to Play with Miami Heat in NBA Summer Leagues

TOLEDO, OH - Former Toledo Rocket Nathan Boothe will play for the Miami Heat in NBA Summer Leagues in Orlando and Las Vegas during the month of July.  
Boothe reached an agreement with the Heat after concluding his UT career tied for 10th place on UT's scoring and rebounding list with 1,494 points and 777 boards, respectively. The Gurnee, IL native is the Rockets' all-time blocked shot leader with152 rejections.

During his senior season at UT in 2015-16, Boothe earned first-team All-MAC honors and also was a 2015-16 NABC District 14 All-District First-Team selection. The 6-10 center led the MAC in scoring with 19.3 ppg and ranked third with 9.0 rpg and an 82.4 free-throw percentage. He also was fourth in double-doubles (14) and 11th with 3.4 apg. Boothe's 618 points in the 2015-16 campaign ranked third in school history and he led or shared the team lead in scoring on a team-high 19 occasions, rebounding a team-best 25 times, and assists on 11 occasions.

The 11-day showcase of top young NBA talent will run from Friday, July 8 through Monday, July 18 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
 
ESPN will present all 67 games from Las Vegas across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU and WatchESPN. Coverage of Samsung NBA Summer League will tip off on ESPN on July 8. In total, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will broadcast 25 games, including all four quarterfinal games, both semifinal games and the Championship Game on Monday, July 18 at 9 p.m. ET at the Thomas & Mack Center. Fans can also log on to ESPN3, where all 67 games will be live-streamed. NBA TV will also present a full slate of Samsung NBA Summer League action, televising a total of 30 games.
