Rockets Head to Sunshine State for web.com Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday

TOLEDO, OH - The Toledo women's golf team will compete at Jacksonville's web.com Intercollegiate early this week in Ponte Vedra, FL. The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday and will be held at the par-72, 5,967-yard Marsh Landing Country Club.
UT is competing in the event for the third straight season, finishing 11th two years ago and 14th last season.
The Rockets are ranked No. 91 in Golfstat's national rankings and will be part of a 15-team field that also includes No. 26 Missouri, No. 55 Campbell, No. 56 Middle Tennessee State, No. 57 Coastal Carolina, No. 60 Chattanooga, No. 84 College of Charleston, No. 85 South Florida, No. 103 North Florida, No. 104 Mercer, No. 130 Cincinnati, No. 115 Maryland, No. 143 Sam Houston State and No. 153 Jacksonville. NCAA Division II member Daytona State is also competing in the field.
    Toledo has set a school record with five tournament titles this season with three coming last fall and two more in its last two outings at the Rio Verde Invitational and Kingsmill Intercollegiate. Senior Sathika Ruenreong led the Rockets to their Kingsmill victory with a one-over par 217 (71-73-73) to capture the fifth tournament title of her collegiate career. Freshman Natcha Daengpiem also had a strong showing with a season-best fourth place finish at eight-over par 224 (75-74-75).
     Ruenreong is leading the Rockets with a 73.5 stroke average followed by seniors Manisa Isavas (75.0) and Morgan Salm (75.4). Daengpiem (76.8), Pimchanok Kawil (77.0) and Caitriona Griffin (77.4) are enjoying solid rookie campaigns as well.
