BLUFFTON, SC – Toledo will return to the links on Monday-Tuesday, March 7-8 when it participates in the Colleton River Collegiate. The two-day tournament will take place at the Pete Dye Course of the Colleton River Plantation Club (Par-72, 7,000 Yards) and be hosted by Michigan State University.

The 54-hole event will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. with 36 holes on Monday and a tee time start of 8:00 a.m. with 18 holes on Tuesday.
UT is slated to compete against Ball State, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, College of Charleston, Connecticut, Memphis, Miami, North Texas, Queens (NC) University, Rutgers, Xavier and the host Spartans. Six squads are currently ranked in Golfweek's Top 100, led by No. 41 Memphis. Others ranked are No. 44 Michigan State, No. 63 College of Charleston, No. 70 North Texas, No. 90 Connecticut and No. 95 Miami.
The Rockets' lineup at the Colleton River Collegiate will include senior
Otto Black, sophomore
Stephen Watts, sophomore
Colin Joseph and freshman
Spencer Shoemaker. The fifth and final spot has yet to be determined.
Toledo has not competed since taking part in the season-opening Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play event on Feb. 8-9 in Dade City, FL. The Rockets went 1-1-1 at the event, defeating Dayton, tying Notre Dame and losing to reigning MAC champion Miami to finish fourth out of eight teams.
The duo of Joseph and Watts tied for the team lead with two wins each in three matches at the season-opening event.

Located along the Atlantic Ocean, the Colleton River Plantation Club hosted the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship that was broadcasted live by FOX Sports last July. Â Colleton River is a 1,500 acre, member-owned golf community that is surrounded on three sides by water. The Pete Dye Course, which opened in 1998, is a links-type course with unobstructed views of Port Royal Sound and the Atlantic Ocean on 11 of 18 holes.
In addition to hosting the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur, Colleton River's Pete Dye Course has hosted eight USGA qualifiers since 2005, including three U.S. Opens, four U.S. Amateurs and one U.S. Senior Open. The course also has held the South Carolina Amateur Championship in 2001 and 2011.
Following the Colleton River Collegiate, UT will travel to Howey in the Hills, FL to take part in the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular on Saturday-Sunday, March 12-13.
