Emily Mazzola and Sidnay Huck Earn MAC Doubles Team of the Week

TOLEDO, OH – Senior Emily Mazzola and sophomore Sidnay Huck were named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Players of the Week, the league announced on Thursday. This honor marks the first time both Mazzola and Huck have received this award this season.

"It's an honor for Em and Syd to receive this award and the timing couldn't be better as we start MAC play this weekend. They play at the top of the lineup every week against the very best competition and it's awesome to see their hard work paying off," said head coach Tracy Mauntler.

Last weekend, Mazzola (Chagrin Falls, OH) and Huck (Fort Wayne, IN) paired up to claim a 6-1 victory over Butler's Jocelyn Koester and Konstantina Adami at No. 1 doubles. The two Rockets improve their No. 1 doubles record to 13-5. Mazzola improves to 15-6 at No. 1 doubles, and Huck improves to 13-8 at the No. 1 spot.
