Phillip Ely Earns NFF Post-Graduate Scholarship

TOLEDO, OH – Former Toledo quarterback Phillip Ely (Tampa, FL) has been awarded a $1,500 post-graduate scholarship by the National Football Foundation.
Ely will be presented with the scholarship at the NFF Banquet at the Seagate Centre in Toledo on Monday, March 21. Social hour is at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner beginning at 7:00. The guest speaker is Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. Tickets are $50 and can be ordered by calling Rachel at Team Sports at 419-865-8326.
Ely led the Rockets to a 10-2 record this past season, including a victory over Temple in the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl in which he was the named the game's Offensive MVP. He completed 226-of-403 passes for 2,965 yards and 23 touchdowns in his senior year. He received his bachelor's degree in business from UT a year ago and his currently working on his MBA.
