Huntington, WV – The Rockets finished the final day of the Marshall Swimming and Diving Invitational in third place with 215 points. Ohio finished in first-place with 356 points, while host Marshall finished with 277 points.

Sophomore
Jessica Avery claimed the only Rocket victory of the day. Avery touched first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:22.31.
Samantha Richart battled Ohio's Kelse Johnson for second place. Richart finished two-tenths of a second behind Johnson to claim third place with a time of 2:24.57.

Senior diver
Jamie Schindler recorded her second season-best score this weekend. Schindler placed second in the three-meter dive after notching a score of 275.40.

Brooke Edwards touched second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.46, and
Lauren Comer took home fourth in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:06.95.

Katrin Streicher recorded a 58.18 in the 100-yard butterfly for third place.
Julie Schmidt finished right behind Streicher with a time of 58.25.

The Rockets will next head to Ann Arbor, MI on Feb. 13-14 to take part in the Michigan 1
st Chance Meet before preparing for the MAC Championships on Feb. 24-27 in Bowling Green, OH.
