Nathan Boothe has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. The honor marks the seventh time Boothe has received the award and the eighth time a Rocket has been named this season.

    Boothe helped the Rockets to a 77-67 win over MAC West Division leader Ball State and a narrow 76-74 setback to Central Michigan. He averaged a team-high 23.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game.

    A Gurnee, IL native, Boothe led the Rockets in scoring in both games against the Cardinals and Chippewas. Boothe tallied 23 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, three assists and two steals vs. BSU before notching 23 points, seven boards, five assists and one steal against CMU.

    Boothe leads the MAC in scoring this season with 19.1 ppg and is third in rebounding (9.0 rpg), fifth with an 82.6 FT% and 11th with 3.5 apg.

    Boothe and Williams rank among the MAC's top scorers with Boothe setting the pace at 19.2 ppg and Williams in third place at 17.7 ppg. Boothe also is second in the MAC with 7.1 defensive rpg, third with a team-high 9.0 rpg, fifth with an 82.6 FT% and 11th with 3.5 apg.

    Boothe and the Rockets will play at Western Michigan on Tuesday, March 1 before closing out their regular season at home on Friday, March 4 vs. Eastern Michigan. Tip-off time for both games is set for 7:00 p.m.
