TOLEDO, OH — Toledo will look to continue its string of top finishes this season when it competes in the Rio Verde Invitational for the 13th consecutive year this weekend. The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,215-yard White Wing Course at Rio Verde Golf Club.

    The scoring format will consist of each team fielding five players, with the lowest four scores counting for each round. Eighteen holes will be played each day with a 1:00 p.m. PST shotgun start on Friday and an 8:00 a.m. PST start on Saturday and Sunday.

    The Rockets are ranked No. 94 in the Golfstat computer rankings. UT will be facing 16 schools — No. 105 Missouri State, No. 109 Arkansas-Little Rock, No. 110 Wichita State, No. 111 Eastern Michigan, No. 115 Northern Arizona, No. 127 Akron, No. 133 Northern Illinois, No. 134 Xavier, No. 142 Western Michigan No. 157 UMKC, No. 158 Arkansas State, No. 164 Bowling Green, No. 178 Ohio, No. 183 Ball State, No. 188 Seton Hall and No. 197 Illinois State — in the three-day event.

    Seton Hall captured last year's tournament title at 32-over par 896 with Toledo tying Northern Arizona for second place at 36-over par 900.

    Toledo opened its spring season with a runner-up showing at the FGCU Eagle Invitational on Feb. 12-14 after winning a school-record three-straight tournaments to end the fall. UT posted victories at the Rocket Classic (Oct. 5-6), the MAC Fall Preview (Oct. 11-12) and the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational (Oct. 25-27). Senior
Manisa Isavas earned medalist honors at the Rocket Classic, while senior
Morgan Salm was runner-up at the Rocket Classic and MAC Fall Preview.

    Seniors
Sathika Ruenreong and Isavas posted Top 10 finishes in Arizona last year by tying for fourth and 10th place, respectively. Ruenreong carded a six-over par 222 (74-71-77), while Isavas posted an eight-over 224 (75-72-77). Ruenreong leads the Rockets with a 73.9 stroke average followed by Isavas (74.9), Salm (75.6) and freshman
Pimchanok Kawil (76.6). Joining UT's top four performers in the lineup this weekend will be joined by freshman
Natcha Daengpiem (77.1).
