Charlotte, NC – Toledo baseball continues its 2016 season at Conference USA member Charlotte. The Rockets will face the 49ers on Friday, Feb. 26 at 3:00 p.m. Saturday Feb. 27 at 12:00 p.m. for a true doubleheader, and Sunday at 1:00 p.m at Robert & Mariam Hayes Stadium.

Last weekend, UT opened the spring campaign at the Historic Dodgertown Classic. Toledo lost to Ohio State, 7-1, Pittsburgh, 7-2 and Niagara, 4-3. UT tied Ohio State, 5-5, on the final day due to time travel restrictions to wrap up the classic.

Dan Zuchowski led the way for the Rockets last weekend, going 7-for-16 with a double and one RBI. On the mound, sophomore RHP
Alex Wagner threw 5.2 scoreless innings and struck out six against Ohio State. Junior RHP
Steven Duby also tossed 3.2 frames of two-hit baseball to blank Niagara.Â

Charlotte also opened its season last weekend with a series with William & Mary. The 49ers defeated the Tribe, 7-3, on opening day before falling 5-1 and 0-11. Charlotte was picked to finish 10
th in C-USA in the Preseason Coaches Poll. The 49ers finished 19-29 last season and 11-19 in the league.

Toledo will be back in action next weekend at ACC Member Duke for a three-game series which will be held at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
