TOLEDO, OH — Senior guard
Jonathan Williams has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

    A Southfield, MI native, Williams scored a team-high 24 points last Saturday to lead Toledo to a 78-56 victory over Southeastern Louisiana in its lone game of the week. In addition to scoring 20 or more points for a career-high fourth straight game, Williams collected five rebounds and four assists and didn't commit any turnovers in 33 minutes of action. Williams converted eight of his 14 field-goal attempts and was a perfect 2-of-2 from behind the three-point arc.

    Williams is leading the Rockets this season with 19.5 ppg, a 39.7 3PFTG% and a 79.7 FT%. In his last four games, he is averaging 25.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 3.8 apg with a 45.1 FG% and 43.3 3PTFG%.

         Williams and the Rockets are back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 20 vs. Loyola (IL) before taking a short holiday break.
