TOLEDO, OH – Freshman
Mariella Santucci scored 19 points to lead Toledo to a 99-41 win over Lock Haven in a preseason exhibition game in Savage Arena on Saturday.

Santucci shot 7-of-9 from the floor and added four assists. The Rockets placed three other players in double figures, including sophomore
Olivia Cunningham (14 points),
Michaela Rasmussen (12) and Mae Tshitenge (11). UT had a total of 11 players find the scoring column, leading to a 45-11 margin in bench production. The Rockets shot 55% (35-64) from the field, while holding the Bald Eagles to just 29% (15-52). UT outscored Lock Haven 26-0 in fast-break points.

Toledo forced Lock Haven into 31 turnovers and scored 46 points off of turnovers. The Bald Eagles were led by Mackenzie Livingston with 10 points.

The Bald Eagles jumped out to an early 7-3 lead, but the Rockets scored 38 of the game's next 42 points, six by Santucci, to take a 41-11 advantage midway through the second quarter. UT went on to lead, 55-19, at the half. The Midnight Blue and Gold led 74-28 after three quarters and extended the lead with a 10-2 run in the final frame.
