TOLEDO, OH – Junior quarterback
Logan Woodside was named the Iron Workers Union No. 55 "Ironman of the Game" for his performance in Toledo's 31-24 victory over Northern Illinois on Nov. 9.
Woodside completed 23 of 33 pass attempts for 286 yards and three touchdowns against the Huskies. On the season, Woodside has passed for 3,328 yards, completed 70.8 percent of his passes and currently leads the nation with 37 touchdown passes. His passing effeciency rating of 189.3 ranks third in the country. He has thrown for at least three touchdowns in every game this season. Earlier this week he was notified by the Heisman Trophy Trust that he is a "contender" for the 2016 Heisman Trophy, awarded to the best college football player in the country.
