TOLEDO, OH – Toledo women's swimming and diving will be traveling to Pittsburg, PA on Friday, Nov. 11 for a dual meet against Duquense at 3:00 p.m.

"We are very excited to swim at Duquesne tomorrow," said head coach
Jonas Persson. "It will be a tough and competitive meet from beginning to end. We have made some good improvements, but we are still recovering from injuries and sickness. I look forward to continued improvements in technique, race strategies, and approach to each event."

The Rockets fell in their last meet against Eastern Michigan, 110-138, which leaves them at 0-2 for the season. Freshman
Izzy Jones posted her first two collegiate victories in EMU's meet in the 200 back and 500 free.
Leading the way for UT in the 100 fly was sophomore
Bailey Cahill who stopped the clock at 58.60. Juniors
Katrin Streicher and
Madeline Grubbe touched in at second and third, respectively.

Allie Brinkhoff picked up nine points in the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.70, while sophomore
Emily Frederick recorded second place and sophomore
Brittany Puthoff followed in third.

Duquense improved their record to 6-1 after a 165.5-130.5 win against Youngstown State last Saturday. The Dukes saw first place finishes in the 200 medley relay (1:49.02), 100 back (Abby Watson, 58.63), 100 breast (Kayla Owens, 1:06.45), 50 free (Emily Thirion, 25:05), and the 100 free (Morgan Smith, 53.75).
