TOLEDO, OH – Senior tight end
Michael Roberts was unanimously voted the Iron Workers Union No. 55 "Ironman of the Game" for his performance in the Rockets' 42-35  Homecoming victory over arch-rival Bowling Green on Oct. 15.
Roberts set career-high statistics in catches (6), yards receiving (94) and touchdowns (3) in the victory. He had a career-long 41-yard TD reception in the first quarter, a 22-yard TD catch in the second and a five-yard scoring reception in the third. He was named the Mackey Award Player of the Week and his nine touchdown catches on the season are tied for most in program history for a tight end and third overall. Roberts needs five more TDs to tie Lance Moore (14 in 2004) for the all-time UT record.
