TOLEDO, OH - Toledo (6-7, 1-1 MAC) returns to the hardwood on Saturday, Jan. 9 to battle Mid-American Conference West Division rival Western Michigan (9-5, 1-1 MAC). Game time is slated for 2:00 p.m. in Savage Arena and can be seen on ESPN3 or heard on 1230 AM (WCWA).Â
UT is coming off a hard-fought 73-67 victory against Kent State on Wednesday, its sixth win in the last seven games.

As a team, UT shot a respectable 45.1 percent (23-of-51) from the field in the MAC cross-division match-up, including 35.3 percent (6-of-17) from three-point land, and 63.6 percent (21-of-33) from the charity stripe to notch its seventh straight victory over KSU. The Rockets' 33 free throw attempts were a season high.Â
Toledo, which sports a 3-2 record at home this season, is fueled offensively by the quartet of Harris, Capotosto, Monakana and Bravo-Harriott, who are averaging 13.2, 11.8, 10.7 and 9.6 ppg, respectively.
UT will battle a WMU squad which has split its last four contests. Most recently, the Broncos claimed an impressive 74-45 home victory against Bowling Green on Wednesday. Miracle Woods and Jessica Jessing paced Western Michigan with 17 points each. Western Michigan connected on 47.6 percent (30-of-63) from the floor versus the Falcons, including 50.0 percent (5-of-10) from beyond the arc.Â
Western Michigan, which is 4-5 away from home this season, features three players scoring at least 9.5 ppg and is led by 2014-15 second-team All-MAC performer Woods at 12.6 ppg.
UT and WMU will meet for the first of two match-ups during the 2016 MAC campaign and the 73rd time overall.
Toledo leads the all-time series against Western Michigan, 51-21, winning 16 of the last 20 meetings since the 2005-06 campaign.
A season ago, the Rockets swept the regular-season series for the fifth time in the last seven years, claiming a 65-46 road victory (Jan. 17) and a 67-57 home triumph (Feb. 25).
Toledo also holds a 26-8 edge in contests played on its home court and has won six of the last seven contests in the Glass City.
Following tomorrow's contest, the Rockets will travel to MAC East Division foe Miami (7-6, 1-1 MAC) on Wednesday, Jan. 13. The opening tip versus the RedHawks is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Millett Hall and can be watched on ESPN3.
UT leads the all-time series, 36-25, winning the last nine match-ups since the 2009-10 campaign.
A season ago, the Rockets claimed a 63-53 home victory (Jan. 3) in the MAC opener. The cross-division foes also squared off in the opening round of the conference tournament, with Toledo securing a 62-47 home triumph (March 9).Â
