Toledo, OH – Eight current NFL players will be given the reins of the Toledo and Bowling Green athletics Twitter accounts Tuesday night as the rivals square off in the "Battle of I-75" at 6:00 pm on ESPN2. Four former Rockets will take over @ToledoRockets for an hour each from 5:30-9:30 p.m. while four former Falcons will take over @BGAthletics during the same time.

In fact, two sets of NFL teammates will be invited to go head-to-head on Twitter during the evening to provide their thoughts and commentary on the game. Fans are invited to follow @ToledoRockets and @BGAthletics throughout the evening.

For Toledo, the Steelers' Bruce Gradkowski will begin the evening from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' T.J. Fatinikun at 6:30 pm. The Green Bay Packers' Jayrone Elliott will take over from 7:30-8:30 p.m. with the Tennessee Titans' Brett Kern wrapping up from 8:30-9:30 p.m.

For Bowling Green, the Pittsburgh Steelers' Shaun Suisham will tweet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. opposite his Steeler teammate Gradkowski, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Jude Adjei-Barimah from 6:30-7:30 p.m. going head-to-head with teammate Fatinikun.  At 7:30 p.m., the Washington Redskins' Kory Lichtensteiger will have control of the @BGAthletics account for an hour. The New England Patriots' Chris Jones will conclude the evening from 8:30-9:30 p.m.

Tuesday night promises to be one of the more important games in the longstanding "Battle of I-75" rivalry between Toledo and Bowling Green. Toledo (8-1, 5-1 MAC) is in a three-way tie for first place in the MAC West Division and needs a victory to keep pace in its bid to earn a trip to Detroit's Ford Field in the MAC Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 4. Bowling Green enters the contest at 8-2 overall and has already clinched the MAC East Division title and a third consecutive appearance in the MAC Championship game by virtue of its 6-0 league record.
