TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo senior Tucker Gleason was one of 58 quarterbacks tabbed to the Golden Arm Award Watch List, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation, Inc. announced on Tuesday.

Gleason was the only quarterback selected to the list from the Mid-American Conference. The award, now in its 39th season, honors excellence both on and off the playing field. Selected quarterbacks must be a senior or upperclassman on track to graduate.

Gleason threw for 2,808 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, while adding 364 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. He completed 233-of-385 (60.5%) passes last season. He was second in the MAC in touchdown passes and total offense (264.3) and fourth in the league in passing efficiency (138.20).

The Tampa, Fla. native is on four national preseason watch lists in 2025. He was selected for the Maxwell Award watch list, which honors college football's top player, along with the Davey O'Brien and Manning Award watch lists, which both honor the nation's top quarterback.

The list will be narrowed down to semifinalists and finalists during the season, with the winner of the Golden Arm Award announced in December. The winner will be celebrated at the Golden Arm Award ceremony in Baltimore, Unitas' hometown.

Gleason and the Rockets head to SEC foe Kentucky to open the 2025 season on Saturday, Aug. 30. The Rockets are back in the Glass Bowl for the "Biggest Party in Toledo" on Sept. 6 vs. Western Kentucky.
