CLEVELAND, Ohio – Three members of the University of Toledo women's tennis team earned Mid-American Conference postseason honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Jacklynka "JJ" Scholten was named the MAC Freshman of the Year and earned a nod to the All-MAC First Team, while Audrey Moutama and Gaby Rondon recorded All-MAC Second Team honors.

Scholten posted an impressive 23-5 overall record during her freshman campaign, including a perfect 17-0 mark in dual-match play. She began playing on the No. 3 court and then moved to the No. 2 singles court. Scholten is the first freshman during Head Coach Tracy Mauntler's tenure to post an undefeated dual-match season record. She joins Cassie Alcala (12-2 in 2021) and Martina Wodzinski (14-3 in 2007) as the only Rockets to be named the MAC Freshman of the Year.

The Arlington, Va. native had an overall 13-11 doubles record and went 6-3 in MAC play alongside teammate Neha Guru at the No.1 position. The duo earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors after taking down UIC and UChicago's No. 1 doubles pairings.

Moutama earned her first conference honor with a spot on the All-MAC Second Team. The junior posted a 13-15 overall singles record in the No. 1 singles position during her junior season. Moutama grabbed wins over defending Division III National Champions UChicago, Buffalo and Bowling Green during the season. She was named MAC Singles Player of the Week during the season after earning a three-set tiebreaker victory over Cleveland State (Jan. 31).

Rondon's nod to the All-MAC Second Team is the first of her career. The sophomore owned an overall singles record of 19-11 and went 6-4 in MAC play, competing at the No. 2 and No. 3 position. Rondon tallied five-straight singles wins during conference play, including a win on the No. 3 court over Miami to hand the RedHawks their only conference loss of the season.

Moutama had an overall doubles record of 12-8 while Rondon posted a 16-10 mark. The duo teamed up for doubles competition throughout MAC play and tallied a 6-3 record on the No. 2 court.

Toledo (14-6, 7-3 MAC) kicks off the 2025 MAC Tournament on Thursday, April 24. The Rockets are the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 2-seeded Northern Illinois at 2:00 p.m. at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.
