TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team heads south this weekend to compete in Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship. The 54-hole tournament will take place at the par-71, 7,090-yard Vanderbilt Legends' South Course in Franklin, Tenn. on Friday-Sunday, April 4-6.
The Field
Toledo will be competing against a 14-team field that includes No. 2 Auburn, No. 5 Ole Miss, No. 19 Vanderbilt, No. 29 Mississippi State, No. 32 Colorado, and No. 44 Charlotte. Also participating are Ball State, Kentucky, Liberty, Middle Tennessee, Penn State, Princeton, and Wisconsin.
Tournament Lineup
Toledo's lineup will consist of junior
Mads Jensen at the No. 1 position followed by seniorÂ
CJ van Wyk at No. 2, senior
Jamie Butler at No. 3, freshman Bence Bertenyi at No. 4, and freshman
Julius Lange at No. 5.
Last Time Out
Toledo shot a one-under par 283 in the final two rounds to post a sixth-place finish at UNCW's Seahawk Intercollegiate on March 24-25.
Freshman Bence Bertenyi tied for 12
th place to lead the Rockets with an even-par 213 (76-65-72). Junior
Mads Jensen competed as an individual and tied for a career-best fifth place with a career-low four-under par 209 (76-64-69).
