Toledo to Compete in UNCW's Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday

Rockets to play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team will travel to Wilmington, N.C. early next week for UNC Wilmington's Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday-Tuesday, March 24-25. The Rockets will play 36 holes on the first day followed by 18 holes on the final day at the par-71, 6,810-yard Cape Fear Country Club.

The Field
Toledo will be competing against a 13-team field that includes Davidson, Florida Atlantic, George Washington, Georgia State, High Point, Jacksonville, James Madison, Stetson, USC Upstate, VCU, Wright State and the host Seahawks.

Tournament Lineup
Toledo's lineup will consist of sophomore Marijn Hoogeveen at the No. 1 position followed by senior Jamie Butler at No. 2, freshman Julius Lange at No. 3, senior CJ van Wyk at No. 4, and freshman Bence Bertenyi at No. 5. Junior Mads Jensen is playing as an individual.

Last Time in Wilmington
Former Rocket Barend Botha won his first collegiate tournament at the 2023 Seahawk Intercollegiate by tying Toledo's 54-hole record (at the time) with a career-low 12-under par.

Last Time Out
Senior Jamie Butler tied for 11th place to lead Toledo at the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate on March 10-11. Butler finished with a career-low one-under par 215 after leading the field with 41 pars. The Rockets finished in ninth place at 16-over par and just six strokes out of fifth place in the tournament.
