TOLEDO, Ohio – Anthony Torres and Maxen Hook were recently named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-America football team.

It is the second year in a row that Toledo has had two players make Academic All-America and just the third time ever. Toledo was the only Mid-American Conference school to have two honorees.
Torres and Hook were two of seven Rockets to earn CSC Academic All-District honors in 2024. Joining them on the team were Michael Denning, Emilio Duran, Carter Fouty, Connor Walendzak and Grant Zimmerly.

He graduated with a degree in accounting and his currently working on his MBA, and holds a 3.73 GPA in the University of Toledo Graduate School. Hook earned First-Team All-MAC honors in each of the past three seasons and is just the third Rocket ever to make an All-MAC team in four seasons. He participated in the 2025 Senior Bowl and has been invited to appear in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Feb. 27-March 2.
