TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team is set to go on the road for a second-straight weekend. The Rockets will travel to Morgantown, W. Va. and meet West Virginia on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and conclude the weekend with Temple on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
ABOUT THE ROCKETS
Toledo sits at 4-0 on the season after taking down Youngstown State 5-2 on Feb. 8 and Duquesne 7-0 on Feb. 9. The Rockets won 11 of 12 singles courts over the weekend. Four Rockets are 4-0 in singles play, while
Gaby Rondon and
Annika Munson have combined for a 4-0 record in doubles play.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
West Virginia enters the weekend with a 4-4 record. The Mountaineers have won their last two matches, taking down Cleveland State 4-2 and Mount St. Mary's 4-0 on Feb. 8. West Virginia captured the last meeting in Morgantown, 4-3, on Feb. 16, 2024 with West Virginia leading the all-time series 7-2.
Temple owns an overall record of 1-4, most recently earning a 4-1 win over Howard. The only previous meeting between the Rockets and Owls was on March 5, 2007 with Temple taking the 5-2 victory.
