Full Slate of Homecoming Activities Planned for Saturday

Homecoming Parade at 10:00 a.m. begins day of fun, culminating with 3:30 kickoff at the Glass Bowl
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Rockets have a full slate of activities for their annual Homecoming Game on Saturday, Sept. 30, culminating with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. at the Glass Bowl. Toledo hosts Northern Illinois for Homecoming, which is the 100th anniversary of the first Homecoming Game at Toledo in 1923.
To celebrate Homecoming, UToledo Alumni can attend the game and support their alma mater with a special ticket deal. Tickets can be purchased for $22 prior to game day, with $5 of every ticket sale being donated back to the Rocket Boost Scholarship, a need-based scholarship to help current and future UToledo students. Please visit utrockets.com/alumnihc to purchase tickets. Any contributions to the Rocket Boost Scholarship will be recognized by The University of Toledo Foundation.Â

Prior to the football game, former head coach "Toledo" Tom Amstutz will serve as the Grand Marshall and lead the annual Homecoming Parade through the Old Orchard neighborhood to kick off the day's festivities. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Following the parade, fans are encouraged to arrive at the Glass Bowl early to take advantage of the game-day atmosphere:
- Rocket Walk: High-five and cheer on the Rockets as they make their traditional walk from Lot 10 to the Larimer Building at 1:00 p.m.!?
- Touchdown Town: Jump into the fun at the family-friendly kid zone located at the Paul Hotmer Soccer Field beginning at 1:30.
- Live Music: Enjoy the sounds of the band "North of Nashville"Â in Lot 10 beginning at 1:30.
- Team Toledo Pop Up Shop: Pick up some new Rocket gear for the game! The Team Toledo Pop Up Shop will be open from 1:00-3:30 p.m. in lot 10 by the varsity Tennis Courts.
- Rocket Hour: Head into the stadium and take advantage of special "Rocket Hour" pricing at our concession stands from 2:00-3:00.
- Trading Card Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans through the gates on Saturday will receive Jerjuan Newton and Quinyon Mitchell trading cards courtesy of Friends of Rocky!
- Toledo Marching Band: Join in and sing the "U of Toledo" fight song as the band performs in Lot 10 at 2:20 p.m. The band's pregame show in the Glass Bowl begins at 3:15 p.m. and stick around after the game for a post-game performance with the Rocket Marching Band and Alumni Band!
- Kickoff: The game between Toledo and Northern Illinois kicks off at 3:30 p.m. The Rockets will take the field at 3:15 p.m. amid an eruption of fireworks to battle MAC rival NIU in this key West Division matchup!
