TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team has received Special Recognition for posting an impressive 3.78 grade-point average as part of the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Outstanding Team Academic honors, the organization announced on Thursday.
The Rockets registered an impressive 3.819 GPA in the fall semester and a 3.734 GPA in the spring semester. Toledo is one of 54 programs to receive special recognition out of the nearly 300 schools that sponsor NCAA Division I men's golf.

Jeff Roope said. "Everyone on our team is committed to academic excellence. It's great to see them being honored for their hard work in the classroom."
Freshman
Mason Deal leads the Rockets with a perfect 4.00 GPA and is closely followed by sophomore
Jamie Butler's 3.983 GPA. Seniors
NJ Botha,
Logan Hooper and
Palmer Yenrick topped the 3.7 GPA mark, while juniors
Barend Botha and
Jamie Tofte Nielsen posted 3.6 GPAs or higher.
