TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team will look to extend its six-match winning streak in West Lafayette, Ind. when it faces Purdue on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the Schwartz Tennis Center. Saturday's matchup will be the first head-to-head dual for the Rockets and Boilermakers since 2017.

The Rockets have had a week off from competition since its back-to-back victories over UIC and DePaul in Chicago on Feb. 10 and 11.

About the Rockets
Toledo (7-1) defeated the Flames 6-1 and swept the Blue Demons 7-0 the following afternoon to keep its road record undisturbed at 4-0. The trip to Illinois was the Rockets' first two stops on their six-match road trip to close out the con-conference schedule. After the Purdue match on Saturday, Toledo will head to Florida for its spring break trip to play Louisiana Tech on March 4, South Florida on March 5 and Florida Gulf Coast on March 8.

Individually, five Rockets extended their winning streaks from their respective courts. At No. 1, Cassie Alcala has won a career-high 14 matches since last April. Sloane Teske has won her last 11 matches from the No. 2 court, two matches away from matching her career-high of 13.  On the No. 3 court, Shalini Tallamraju is two matches away from equaling her career-high eight-match winning streak, and Mariona Perez has also won her last six matches from the No. 4 court. Sanjana Tallamraju has had a great start to her Rocket career, having won her last five matches, mostly from the No. 6 spot.

Teske's efforts in Chicago earned her a MAC Singles Player of the Week honor on Feb. 16, the third of her career.

About Purdue
Purdue is also 7-1 and had its seven-match win streak snapped on Feb. 17 in a 4-3 final to Kentucky. The Boilermakers lost the doubles point and tried to come back in single play, but the Wildcats won the impending final court for the win.

Saturday's match will be the first between Toledo and Purdue since Jan. 14, 2017.
