TOLEDO, Ohio –
Mark Batman will be officially introduced as the University of Toledo's head women's soccer coach in a news conference at the University pf Toledo on Friday, Jan. 20. The news conference will take place in the Grogan Room at Savage Arena at 2:00 p.m.
Campus and local community members are invited to attend the news conference in person or via zoom. There will be an opportunity for the general public to meet Batman following the news conference.
Batman is just the fourth head coach in the history of Toledo women's soccer. He joins the Rockets after serving 19 seasons at Ohio Northern University, where he was the winningest head coach in program history, compiling 253 victories and eight regular-season conference crowns. Batman also served one season as an assistant coach at Wilmington College in 2000 and one season as an assistant coach at Savannah Georgia Arts& Design in 2003. The Yellow Springs, Ohio native received his bachelor's degree in sport management from Wilmington in 2000 and began his coaching career at his alma mater. He went on to earn a master's degree in physical education from Loras (Iowa) College in 2003.
