TOLEDO, Ohio – Senior Palmer Yenrick and junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen of the Toledo men's golf team were both in the Top 15 following Monday's opening round of the Inverness Intercollegiate. The second round at the par-71, 7,265-yard Inverness Club was suspended due to darkness and will resume at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow with the third and final round to follow.

Yenrick fired an even-par 71 and is tied for 11^th place, while Nielsen was one shot behind and tied for 15^th place with a one-over par 72.

Yenrick opened his round with a bogey before registering 12 straight pars. He then birded two of his next four holes before ending with a bogey. Nielsen also collected two birdies in his round but bogeyed his final hole to finish one-over.

The remainder of the Rockets' lineup included junior Barend Botha (T-52^nd/76), freshman Bence Kotel (T-66^th/78) and senior NJ Botha (T-82^nd/82).

As a team, Toledo was in 12th place after the opening round at 13-over par.

No. 6 Georgia Tech led the 16-team field after one round at three-over par, one shot in front of No. 8 Texas Tech. No. 4 Oklahoma was tied for third at five-over par with Louisville and SMU.

The tournament field includes the No. 4 Oklahoma, No. 6 Georgia Tech, No. 8 Texas Tech, No. 20 Notre Dame and No. 22 Washington. Also receiving votes in the poll were Ohio State, Purdue, SMU and Virginia.
