UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Senior
Amelia Lee fired a career-low four-under par 68 and holds a two-stroke lead following Saturday's opening two rounds of Penn State's Nittany Lion Invitational. The Toledo women's golf team is in eighth place following the first day of action at PSU's par-72, 6,402-yard Blue Course.
Lee will enter Sunday's final round at five-under 139 after registering six birdies in the morning and two birdies in the afternoon. She will be looking to win her first tournament as a collegian with her previous best a third-place tie at the Ozarks National Invitational.
Sophomore
Yedam Lee is tied for 42
nd place with an eight-over par 152 (75-77), while junior
Macy Hanus is tied for 53
rd place at 12-over par 154 (74-80). Junior
Angel Hii is tied for 67
th place at 12-over par 156 (77-79).
Freshman
Reese Jansa carded a seven-over par 79 in the opening round before withdrawing due to injury.
Tomorrow's final round will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
