TOLEDO, Ohio - Sophomore quarterback Dequan Finn was named to the Davey O'Brien QB Class of 2022 on Tuesday. Finn is now eligible to be voted one of 16 semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien Award, which is given annually to the nation's top quarterback. 

Finn is one of only two quarterbacks from the Mid-American Conference to make the list, joining Ohio's Kurtis Rourke. 

Voting will take place on @DaveyOBrien Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts. The top five vote-getters on each of the three social media platforms will receive bonus committee votes which will be added to the ballots cast by the National Selection Committee. 
 
To participate in the Fan Vote, fans must like the original post highlighting the quarterback on the official @DaveyOBrien social media channels. Each of the three rounds of the selection process (semifinalist, finalist and winner) will feature the Fan Vote, with vote totals reset prior to each round. 

Finn has completed 60.1 percent of his passes for 1,646 yards and 18 TDs in eight games. He is third in the MAC in passing efficiency (142.35). He is also the Rockets' leading rusher with 520 yards and eight scores, and leads the MAC with 6.13 yards per carry. Finn ranks second in the country in yards per carry for a QB, trailing Kansas State's Adrian Martinez (6.14).
