Women’s Tennis to Host Rocket Invite in Fall Season Finale

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team will host its Rocket Invite at the Twos Athletic Club this Friday and Saturday. The Rockets will welcome Bowling Green and Cleveland State for the two-day invitational, which will begin at 9:00 a.m. both days.
This will be the final competition of the fall season for the Rockets, who are coming off an impressive showing by sophomore Cassie Alcala and junior Sloane Teske at the ITA Midwest Super Regionals on Oct. 22. Alcala and Teske participated in the doubles portion of the tournament, the first time anyone from Toledo's men's or women's programs had advanced past Midwest Regional play. The tandem had a huge 8-6 win over the doubles team from Illinois. They were then defeated by a tandem from No.12 Ohio State in the quarterfinals, 8-2.
Toledo will return to the court after the new year, Jan. 15-17 at the Florida Gulf Coast Tournament in Fort Myers, Fla.
