TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo women's soccer will take on its archrival Bowling Green in the "Battle of I-75" to close out the regular season, with its eyes on securing a spot in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
The Rockets (10-4-4, 5-3-2 MAC) will take the field against the Falcons (8-6-3, 7-2-1 MAC) on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 3:00 p.m. in Cochrane Stadium in Bowling Green.
Toledo is coming off a shutout weekend, defeating Akron 2-0 on Oct. 21, followed by a 0-0 draw at Buffalo on Oct. 24.
The Rockets are allowing a MAC-low 0.61 goals per game. Freshman midfielder

Ellie Pool are both tied for sixth in the conference with six goals apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper
Emma Boutorwick reclaimed her spot at the top of the conference with a 0.869 save percentage and 0.58 goals against average.
MAC Standings Update
The Rockets enter their final game of the MAC season in fifth place with the Top Six making the tournament. Toledo will need a win or tie against Bowling Green, or a loss or tie from sixth-place Central Michigan in its game at Eastern Michigan on Thursday. The Rockets hold the tiebreaker between them and the Chippewas, having defeated them earlier this season. Additionally, if Toledo loses and CMU wins, the Rockets would need a loss or tie from seventh-place Miami (5-5-0), which plays at Ball State on Thursday.
Falcons Update (8-6-3, 7-2-1 MAC)
Bowling Green is coming off a split weekend that ended its five-game win streak. The Falcons fell to Buffalo 1-0 on Oct. 21 before defeating Akron 3-0 on Oct. 24. The Falcons have seven MAC victories under their belt including wins against Central Michigan (2-0), Kent State (3-2), Ball State (2-0), Miami (3-2), Eastern Michigan (3-0), Western Michigan (2-0) and Akron. Redshirt senior forward Madi Wolfbauer leads Bowling Green with 21 points and ranked second in the MAC with 10 goals. Redshirt junior goalie Lili Berg ranks fifth in the MAC with a 1.11 GAA and a 0.774 SV%.
Last Week
- Olivia Dault and Grace Turski scored for Toledo in its 2-0 win over Akron. Dault notched her sixth goal of the season and Turski recorded her second of the season.
- Emma Boutorwick made 14 saves over the two games, with a career-high eight saves against Buffalo.
- The 0-0 draw with Buffalo marked Toledo's 10th shutout and fourth draw this season.
Inside the Numbers
- McKenna Schultz leads the Rockets' defenders in minutes played (1,712) and has played all but four minutes this season.
- Claire Cahalan leads Toledo's midfielders with 1,642 minutes, while Ellie Pool tops the forwards with 1,562 minutes.
- Pool leads the Rockets with 45 shots followed by Stephanie "Stitch" Currie (37) and Olivia Dault (33). All three Rockets also have 20 shots on goal apiece.
- Toledo has allowed just three first-half goals this season. The Rockets are outscoring their opposition by a 7-3 margin in the first half, 16-7 in the second and are an even at 1-1 in overtime.
In Goal
Boutorwick had a powerful performance in goal for the Rockets this last week. She made six saves against Akron and eight saves against Buffalo. Boutorwick reigns over the MAC with nine shutouts, an .869 SV% and a .578 GAA.
