SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Toledo men's golf team finished the first day of Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Classic at 21-over par 589 on the par-71, 7,020-yard Warren Golf Course. The Rockets are in 13^th place and are just 10 strokes behind No. 3 Arizona State.
 
Senior Grant Godfrey is leading Toledo at one-over par 143 and carded the team's best round of the day with a one-under 70 in the first round. He tallied four birdies and was three-under par midway through his first 18 holes.
 
Sophomore David Amm is tied for 38^th place at five-over par 147, while senior Nate Thomson is tied for 46^th place at six-over par 148.  Amm was at one-under in his second round before bogeying two of his last three holes.
 
Rounding out the Rocket lineup are senior Rasmus Broholt Lind tied for 68^th place at nine-over par 151 and freshman Jack Doody at 11-over par 153.
 
Host Notre Dame sits atop the team leaderboard at 14-under par 554 with Rutgers' Christopher Gotterup the top individual at 11-under par 131 (68-63).
 
Toledo will begin tomorrow's final round at the No. 10 tee beginning at 9:10 a.m.
