TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team returns to action following two weeks of practice when it travels to Notre Dame, Ind. to compete in the Fighting Irish Classic. The Rockets will be competing in the tournament for a third straight year and playing on the par-71, 7,020-yard Warren Golf Course on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 7-8. An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will be utilized on Monday with 8:00 a.m. tee times off No. 1 and No. 10 set for Tuesday.

"The guys are looking forward to another chance to compete and build on what they've worked on so far this year," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "We're playing a good golf course that many of them have experience on, and Coach Handrigan and his staff put on a first-class event in a terrific collegiate atmosphere. We're thankful to have a chance to compete fairly close to home, as well."

Sophomore David Amm is leading the Rockets with a 73.3 stroke average and is followed by senior Nate Thomson (74.5) and senior Grant Godfrey (75.8). Also competing for Toledo at Notre Dame will be senior Rasmus Broholt Lind and freshman Jack Doody.
