TOLEDO, Ohio – Senior Saranlak Tumfong was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday. Tumfong received the honor for the first time in her collegiate career after registering a third-place showing at the Chippewa Invitational earlier this week by finishing with a four-over par 148.

A Chiang Mai, Thailand native, Tumfong opened the tournament with an even-par 72 on Monday before carding a 76 in extremely wind conditions on Tuesday. She registered a tournament-best 27 pars and has posted the Rockets' best in each of their four tournaments this fall.

Tumfong and the Rockets will now begin their fall and winter workouts before returning to action on February 17-18 at South Florida's Old Friends Invitational.
