Gabriella DeSantis joins UT Women’s Tennis Staff

Toledo, OH – Gabriella DeSantis has been named the graduate assistant coach for the University of Toledo women's tennis team, head coach Tracy Mauntler announced today.
"We are absolutely thrilled to have Gaby as a Rocket," Mauntler said. "She has accomplished so much in her playing career and I know she will be invaluable in terms of helping our student-athletes reach their fullest potential."
DeSantis played tennis for Ohio State, where she was named First Team All-Big Ten four times. In 2014, DeSantis earned Big Ten Freshman of the Year and ITA Rookie of the Year honors. The following year DeSantis was named ITA Player to Watch. During DeSantis's time with the Buckeyes, the team claimed back-to-back Big Ten Tournament championships (2016 and 2017), earned a #1 national ranking (2016), and made it to the NCAA Final Four (2017).
DeSantis hails from Caracas, Venezuela and graduated from Ohio State with a bachelor of arts degree in communications.
