Ted Williams is ranked first in UT history in career free throw percentage list (83.9, 153-of-183) and 15th in all-time scoring (1,355 points). Williams has made is name in the Rocket history books still ranked top 10 in multiple records at UT. He's ranked first and third (vs. CMU 2/23/77 with 29 attempts) in MAC games and fifth during overall play for field goal attempts (31) vs CMU (3/4/78). He's tied for first with 7 steals vs. VMI (12/28/77) and ranked second for most minutes played (55 min vs. CMU 3/4/78).  During individual seasons (1975-78) Williams currently holds records for first in field goal attempts (303), third for most field goals (141), third in free throw percentage (90.3, 28-of-31) in MAC games, fifth for field goal attempts (272), and ninth in free throw percentage (87.8, 36-of-41). Over his career (1974-78) he currently ranks fourth in free throw percentage (82.6, 71-of-86), fifth in field goals (358) and field goal attempts (780) in MAC play. He ranks within the top 10 for three records while playing in Savage Arena, steals (7), field goals (15), and field goal attempts (31) 

Williams was co-captain of the Rockets his senior season when he led the team in scoring with 18.3 points per game. He also scored 17.2 points as a junior and 12.2 points as a sophomore. Williams helped lead his team to a 77-28 record in his four seasons at UT, including 21-6 records in his junior and senior years. Williams was named Second Team All-MAC in back to back seasons (1976-78). He was also a part of the team that broke Indiana's famous winning streak in the first-ever game at Savage Hall in 1976. He is currently in the top 15 of the 1,000 point club with 1,355 career points.
