Lehman was the starting point guard for UT as a freshman in 1977-78 through his senior year in 1980-81. In Lehman's four seasons at UT, the Rockets won three MAC championships, made the NCAA Tournament twice and the NIT once. Lehman was a 1981 Academic All-MAC honoree and is a member of UT's 1000-point club with 1055 points in 116 games played, the second-most games ever played by a Toledo men's basketball player. Lehman also is third at UT in career assists (525), second in career MAC assists (297) and holds the record for most MAC assists in a season (138 in 1978-79). Lehman is second all-time in career free throw percentage (.814) and once hit 16 free throws in a game. After his time at UT as a player, Lehman, along with Stan Joplin, served as an assistant coach under Head Coach Bob Nichols. Lehman is still involved with UT basketball, serving as color commentator for radio broadcasts.
