Dean Eisner won varsity letters in tennis from 1965 to 1967. During those three seasons Toledo won three straight MAC Champions in Tennis. He never lost a Mid-American Conference Singles match in his college career. During his sophomore season he defeated a two-time MAC singles champion to win the first of three straight league singles titles. He also won the MAC doubles championship for three straight years. He participated in and won the consolation bracket of the NCAA tournament. His overall career singles record was 50-12, a winning percentage of .806. His overall career doubles record was 49-9, a winning percentage of .845. He was called by Toledo varsity tennis players of decades both before and since his time "the most outstanding tennis player ever to have attended the University of Toledo."
