Brenda Steinbrunner was a two-time All-MAC selection (1987 &1989), three-time Academic All-MAC selection (1987-1989) and a two-time Academic All-American (1988-1989). An outfielder, Steinbrunner is sixth on UT's career list for batting average (.314), fourth in total bases (258), third in hits (202), third in doubles (34), third in sacrifices (42), third in stolen bases (51) and second in triples (8). She also holds the school record for doubles in a season (17). During her four seasons at UT, the Rockets went 135-101. In her senior season in 1989, the Rockets were 36-25 and advanced to the College World Series for the only time in school history.
